If you’re new to Internet Marketing or you are thinking about giving Online Video Marketing a try, then I have some insights as an Online Video Marketing Newbie who is learning my way around. I have been working with online videos for about two months now, and I wanted to share what I have learned so far.

When thinking about your Internet Marketing Business, just the thought of adding Online Video Marketing to your repertoire can cause several things to come rushing to someone’s mind very quickly. Most people think, of my gosh, “I couldn’t possibly stand in front of a camera and make a professional video. And you may be right! Making a video of yourself when you’re just getting started can be very difficult and extremely intimidating.
I learned that the hard way! Now I’m not saying you might not need to get better at this eventually, just like I will. But you don’t have to start out doing those kinds of videos if you don’t want to. Instead you could start out with screen capture videos.
Screen Recording Software
One of the great things about Screen Recording Software like Camtasia Studio is that you never have to show your face on the camera if you don’t want to. You simply make a PowerPoint slide presentation if you’re running a windows system, and then you go through your PowerPoint presentation while you speak into a microphone which records your voice. You don’t have to be an expert to do this, you just need to have the right software and an inexpensive external microphone of some sort that blocks out background noise.
I tried many free screen capture software programs trying to save money, and found them to be more of a pain in the butt then the savings was worth. So I purchased the best Video Screen Capture Software I could find which was Camtasia Studio.
Video Screen Capture Software
Camtasia Studio has a nice video tutorial system in place, so learning to use the software is not that difficult, and can be done in a couple of days. The hard part with making this type of video isn’t recording it so much as it is editing it. Not only is this a bit confusing at first, it can also become extremely time consuming if you have to make a lot of edits to a large video file.
The good thing is that it becomes easier and easier the more you do it. As to how to make editing the video file faster, I’m still working on ways to do that. But here’s one of the best tips I can give you when first starting out making these types of videos. “Don’t expect any video to be perfect”. They never are! So just do the best you can on it, watch it, and if it isn’t a complete embarrassment, then post it somewhere online so people can start watching it.

Why All One Way Backlinks Are Not Equal In SEO Value
In Internet Marketing SEO is said by many, to be a do or die situation. Although I am by no means a Search Engine Optimization expert, I do feel that SEO is something that you should try to focus on and implement into your Internet Marketing business if you expect to be successful. Just my opinion!
SEO or Search Engine Optimization
One of the easiest and fastest ways you can inexpensively improve your Search Engine Optimization for a webpage or website is by creating one way backlinks that point to that webpage or website, with keyword targeted text in the hyperlink.
The reason for this is because the Search Engines think very highly of these one way backlinks. They feel that the more one way backlinks there are pointing to a webpage containing relevant keywords, the more chance there is that this webpage contains valuable content about these keywords.
Think of it as a vote for that webpage, coming from the webpage that the link is available on. The more votes a webpage gets the more relevant it becomes in the eyes of the search engines.
Google’s Page Rank
This is simple enough and I recommend getting as many one way backlinks as you can if you want to promote a webpage. However, it’s important to understand that not all back links are created equal. You see the Google Search Engines are said to get about 60-70% of all the daily searches being performed online every day, and Google has a thing they call Page Rank or PR.
Google has an automatic rank that they assign to every webpage that the Google Search Engines have indexed. And it’s based on a top secret formula. No, I’m not kidding it is top secret! It’s based on a scale of 0-10 with zero being the lowest and ten being the highest.
All webpage’s start with a PR of 0 and earn their way up from there. A websites PR is based on many other things as well, but the majority of webpage’s on the Internet are currently ranked at a 0 or 1. If you have a webpage with a PR of 4-6 you’re doing far better than most. And anything above a 6 is dripping with gold!
One Way Backlinks
So Google looks at these One Way Backlinks that we have pointing to our webpage’s and says, the PR of the webpage the link is on, should also affect how big of a vote that webpage is getting. So a one way backlink on a webpage with a PR of 2 holds more weight than a link from a webpage that has a PR of 0.
Another thing some people feel the Search Engines take into consideration is the relevance of the webpage the link is on, as it pertains to the page the one way backlink is pointing to. Now some people do not believe this makes a difference, while others hold that it does. I’ll let you decide for yourself, but this makes sense to me.
Best One Way Backlinks
If this is true, let’s say your webpage is about dog food. If you had a link on another website that said, “Best Dog Food for Pit Bull Puppies”, that would seem like a relevant link. Now if this link was on two webpage’s and they both had a PR of 2. If one of these websites was about Pit Bull Puppies, and one of these links was on a webpage about, “Potato Shooting”, yes there is such a thing, the link on the page about Pit Bull Puppies would be a bigger more valuable vote because it is more relevant.
So your goal for creating one way backlinks to your webpage’s should be to create as many keyword relevant links, to webpage’s that are relevant to your webpage’s subject as you can. And the hire the PR of the webpage the link is on, the better. This may not shoot your webpage to the top of the search engine rankings overnight, but over time, doing this should help your Internet Marketing Business out a lot!
What I learned From The Frank Kern List Control Launch!
Frank Kern is undoubtedly one of the greatest Internet Marketing minds in the world, and he recently launched his newest product, List Control. Every product I have ever heard of Frank Kern putting out is well worth every penny spent on it. But let’s face it unfortunately not everyone could afford List Control.
The good news is, if you are fortunate enough to be on Frank Kern’s email list, you always get fantastic, valuable content for free leading up to his product launches. If I’ve learned one thing in life, it’s to learn from the people who are already where you want to be in life, as often as possible. So there was a lot that could be learned from just observing how Frank promotes and launches a new product!
Add Value To People’s Lives
Frank constantly emphasizes that adding value to the lives of someone looking for something, is the key to great wealth. And he practices what he preaches. That’s why it’s so great to be on his mailing list. You can always rest assured that even if you don’t purchase his products, you will always gain valuable information about Internet Marketing that no one else is teaching. And you get it for free prior to his product going on sale.
He did this during his prelaunch of List Control, just like he does with every product he releases. And he didn’t hold back either. Frank offered numerous free videos to the people who opted in to his List Control email list. The videos were about the value of a good responsive email list, and how to go about building one. He even went so far as to give people a free piece of software to help them easily set up a Squeeze Page (which is a very handy tool to anyone who wants to start building an email list) in like 10 minutes.
Solve Your Prospects Problem
Frank Kern also says that the way to wealth is to find out what your prospects really want and give it to them. Find out what really pains them, and then give them a solution that will take away that pain, whatever it is, and you will become wealthy.
And that’s what he did for List Control. He surveyed the people on his email list and found out that like 71% of the people who responded to the survey said they needed help building an email list of targeted prospects. So that’s what he made, that’s what he marketed, and he will make more on this one product launch then most of us will make in 10 years time!
And his prelaunch content created a frenzy of hungry prospects who couldn’t wait to buy List Control as soon as it hit the market. And here’s a bonus, even if only a small percentage of the people who signed up for the List Control email list purchased the product, he still got thousands of new people on his list, that now like him, understand the value he offers, trust him, and will undoubtedly buy something else from him later down the road.
So even if you couldn’t afford to buy List Control, you can still take away more value from what I just talked about, than most courses you purchase will provide. Thanks Frank!

My Experience With Hosting Company HostGator Technical Support
If you’re new to Internet Marketing and the concept of a C-Panel, or an FTP, or if the idea of downloading a WordPress blog is new or scary to you, I understand because everything I’ve learned about Internet Marketing was new to me less than a year ago. The fact is that once you get started it really isn’t as scary or as difficult as it sounds.
But that doesn’t mean you won’t make mistakes. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been stuck, confused, did something the hard way, or just plain screwed something up. Fortunately for me I did some research before I decided who I was going to use as a hosting company.
Hosting Company
Host Gator is a Hosting Company based out of Houston, TX in the United States. After doing plenty of research I found they were highly recommended by many Internet Marketers, had 24 hour live technical support, and we’re just as reasonably priced as their competition. I had also heard many Internet Marketers rave about their technical support. So that’s who I went with.
HostGator
I was completely new and had no idea how to do much of anything, but I knew what I wanted to do. I wanted to set the domain name that I had purchased through Go Daddy up on my Host Gator Server.
I had received several emails with lots of information that I didn’t really understand from both companies. I went to Host Gator and watched their video tutorials. Now I was ready to go. But I couldn’t get myself to do it because I was scared.
So I called the Host Gator Technical Support phone number. I told them what I needed to do, I gave them the information they needed, and they did it for me for free while I was on the telephone with them. Next up was setting everything up. I got stuck trying to put the WordPress software on my website. I called the Host Gator Technical Support phone number again. Told them what was going on, and they fixed it for me while I was on the phone with them. And for free!

I’ve had numerous problems since, and the same thing has happened every time. They have always fixed everything, or talked me through fixing it, while I was on the phone with them. The other day I took this concept to a new level!
I’m not going to get into the details here, but I was having problems setting up a WordPress blog on a new domain. I called. It was done in 10 minutes. Being the expert I am, when I ran into a problem 4 or 5 hours later, I thought I knew what was wrong and how to fix it. I did what I thought would fix it. It did not!
It was 4:00 AM, I was tired, so I decided I’d go to bed, and call Host Gator in the morning. I wanted to check the stat’s of one of my other blogs real quick. I tried to access my admin area, and a webpage popped up that said I had deleted the entire website!
I Wiped Out My Website
I had just wiped out all of my hard work over the last 8 months, and all my content on the entire website. Panic immediately set in! I called the Host Gator Technical Support phone number and told them what had just happened. It took about 6 or 7 minutes, and my technical support rep says. We can restore the whole thing for you, but it usually takes 12-24 hours if we don’t run into any troubles, and it costs $15.
I could finally breathe. “Please do it”, I said. Three Hours Later my website was back up. Experiences like these are why I love Host Gator, and I highly recommend it to anyone who needs a hosting company!

Internet Marketing And Stepping Out Of Your Comfort Zone!
In Internet Marketing there are a lot of things that need to be done to be successful, and by successful I mean to make money. Some of these things you might do yourself, and others you might pay someone to do for you. But let’s face it most of us can’t afford to pay someone to do everything we need done for us.
Starting out you might be in a situation where you can’t afford to pay anyone, so you need to do everything by yourself. And there’s nothing wrong with that. But you’re only one person and there are only so many hours in a day, so eventually as you start making money, you’ll need to farm some of this out.
Internet Marketing
When it comes time for something to get done in your Internet Marketing Business, if you don’t have the money to pay someone to do it for you, then you’ll probably have no choice but to do it yourself. Some of these things may be things that you have never done before. This can sometimes be a very scary and uncomfortable feeling.
In fact this is where most people give up. The fear of stepping outside of their comfort zone is scarier to them than not being successful online, so they quit. I know this feeling all to well because I’ve been their many times myself. Most of what I have done or learned online I have either learned from courses I have taken or from doing research on it.
Stepping Out Of Your Comfort Zone
If you really do want to experience success as an Internet Marketer, then you can’t simply quit just because you’re unsure of how to do something or because it’s uncomfortable to you or even a bit scary. You have to drive on and push forward. There’s no other way around it.
You must step out of your comfort zone!
If you need a blog for example, and the idea of writing a blog post for all to see scares you, there are only three options.
Pay someone to write them for you (which probably wouldn’t be feasible)
Quit
Just Do It.
Personally, if I don’t have the money for something I need done to achieve my ultimate goal, I’m not going to quit; I’ll work through it somehow. I’ve found that the more you do this thing that scares you, the easier it becomes and the better you get at it. If you screw up the first time then don’t worry about it and don’t give up. So what? You screwed up. Just keep trying and working on it until you get it right.
So here’s my advice. “Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone when you need to”. It can be the difference between achieving success and all the things that come with it, or giving up and never experiencing them.
