How Squeeze Pages, Landing Pages, and Capture Pages Work!

Squeeze Pages also know as Landing Pages, Capture Pages, OptIn Pages, and Lead Generation Pages are all the same thing, just called by a different name. In Internet Marketing they are the key to making money online. If you haven’t already read my post on the importance of these pages then you’ll want to do that as well.

Landing Pages

Landing Pages should be the primary place you send your visitors to. The reason you have a Landing Page is for one reason and one reason only, and that is to get that visitors email address.

This visitor is obviously interested in something you have to offer, or they would not be coming to your website. So what you need to do is seize this opportunity while you can.

Squeeze Pages

There are several rules you need to follow to get a good conversion rate from a Squeeze Page.

  • The less information you ask for, the better.
  • Offer them something that’s too good to pass up. I call this an irresistible offer.
  • This offer should be something they can get access to RIGHT NOW.
  • Always tell them exactly what to do to get it.

There are other factors that come into play as well, and I’ll discuss these in my next post.

Capture Pages

So you’ve made them an irresistible offer, told them what to do to get it, and hopefully the offer you made was enticing enough to get that visitor to give you their information. So what happens now?

When you set up an email campaign through an Autoresponder Service such as Aweber, you also need to create the form that you place on the Capture page. So when they enter their information into that form and click on the button to submit it, it automatically gets forwarded to your Autoresponder list.

Autoresponder Takes Over

When a new lead is sent to your Autoresponder list, it keys the Autoresponder Service to send that person the first email you set up in that list immediately, usually this is what’s called a confirmation email. This email will tell the person that if they want the information or gift you offered them, they must click on a link to go get it.

By clicking on this link they’re also agreeing to receive emails from you in the future. If they don’t click on that confirmation link then they won’t get your irresistible offer. And you just don’t email them again. But if they do, which most will, they simultaneously are sent to the thank you page you have created, where they can get the things you promised them.

Confirmed OptIn

You now have a person on your list that should be happy and impressed with what you have just given them. You also have a person who you can now build a relationship with through your automated follow up emails which you should set up in your Autoresponder. And as long as you treat this Prospect well, you’ll be able to market related products and services to them for a long, long, time!
