As we’ve discussed already in previous posts, choosing a "Profitable Domain Name" takes a little bit of time. It’s not a difficult process but it does require some due-diligence on your part. If you haven’t done the recommended Keyword Research yet, then you need to do so before you get to this point. Just view my earlier posts on Keyword Research and you’ll be ready to go in no time.

Getting Ready To Register A Domain Name

Unfortunately many domain names have already been taken by other Internet Marketers. Because of this fact you should have already written down several choices in which you are most interested in. Now we are ready to purchase one of these domain names for your Internet Marketing Business.

You’ll need to go to a website that offers Domain Name Purchasing. There are dozens available Online, however I have found that it makes life much easier if you can purchase your Domain Name through the same company you plan to have your site hosted at.

I have purchased Domain names through Go Daddy in the past, but have had to transfer the Domain Name to a different company’s server. Although this is not really difficult to do, this can be avoided by using the same host company for both hosting and Domain Name Registration, saving time and possible frustration.

Finding Your Domain Name

I personally use and recommend Host Gator for both purchasing Domain Names and for Website Hosting. They are established, well respected in this industry, and have fantastic 24/7 Live Customer Support. So let’s go to Host Gator now.

Scroll to the very bottom of the Webpage and click on the Services link which is right next to Home. On the Services Page you will see a link for Domain Registration. Click on the link that says, "Register Your Domain Online Here".

You will now see an area for you to enter the domain name you would like to have. Enter your 1st choice in the area next to the www. Leave it set for .com and click on the register tab to the right. If that domain name is available and you’re ready to purchase it, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the purchase button.

Congratulations! You now own the domain name for your Internet Marketing Business.

Disclaimer – Marketing is my primary source of income. If you buy something as a result clicking on any of these links, I’ll get paid money that I will have no choice but to use to support my family.
