Internet Marketing and Determining Your Niche Market!
Over the last few weeks we’ve talked quite a bit about Keywords, Keyword Phrases, and doing Keyword Research, prior to determining what your Niche Market will be. This is a very important facet of successful Internet Marketing, and should not be over looked!
Determining Your Niche Market
By looking over the Keyword Research you’ve done, you should have some great information available concerning what’s going on within those Niches Online.
At this point you need to start evaluating which niches you’re most interested in, and how much competition you face in those Niche Markets. Keep in mind you’ll never find a “Viable Niche Market” with no competition.
As I’ve mentioned, most of the sites Online aren’t seriously trying to compete for those Keywords. You’re really just looking for something that’s reasonably in demand, and with the least competition.
Choosing You’re Niche Market
Now narrow your options down to your top three. Once you’ve done this, give these three options some really serious thought. Things you should consider:
- How Much Do You Know About That Niche?
- How Interested Are You In That Niche?
- Is There Enough Demand For The Niche To Support Your Business?
- Is The Keyword Competition in That Niche Reasonable?
- What Products/Services Could You Offer?
- Do You Have or Can You Get Access To Those Products/Services?
Now that you’ve done these things you should be able to make an educated decision about which Niche Market fits you the best!
Game Planning Your Website
Get your pad of paper out and just start writing down every idea that comes to mind for the Niche you’ve choose. Don’t worry about being neat, this is an exercise and you should just write these things down as quickly as they come to mind. Do this for the next couple of days, then come back and we’ll move forward from there.
Congratulations! You’ve just taken the first step in starting your own Internet Marketing Business!
