One of the true secrets to Network Marketing , MLM , Home Based Business success, or just sales in general, is the art of storytelling . When building a Network Marketing or MLM Business it’s one of the most effective strategies that you can employ.

Relating to Your Prospect

Storytelling is actually the easiest ways to get a prospect to start relating to you , your products/services, and your business opportunity .

People want to know how, what your pitching them has worked for you, and how it might work for them. By hearing your story, they begin to relate to your situation, and they start to actually visualize how it might work for them.

This tremendously increases your chance of them buying your product/service, as well as them becoming a new distributor in your organization.

Using Storytelling

I’m sure there are studies that can explain why storytelling is so effective in sales, but it really doesn’t matter why it works. The fact is it’s easy to do, and it really does produce some incredible results.

Charles "Tremendous" Jones made a great point when he said, "Never give a point without a story and never tell a story without a point ."

It’s important to always have a point for the story you’re going to tell, so put some thought into this, and develop several different stories about several different things.

Telling a Story

I’ve heard people say, "I’m new to this so I don’t really have a story to tell yet". Sometimes this is true, so until you have one of your own I suggest using someone elses stories .

These stories can be consistently used whenever you feel it’s appropriate to the discussion, so don’t be afraid to use the heck out of them !
